# Adding Stablecoin to Your Wallet

# Adding Stablecoin to Your Wallet

If you're using an x402 wallet for on-chain payments, you need to fund it with USDC stablecoin. Here's how.

## Prerequisites

Before adding funds, make sure you have:

1. An AgentPMT account with a wallet created (see [What is an x402 Wallet](/docs/getting-started/what-is-an-x402-wallet))
2. A source of USDC on the Base network, **or** a credit card for the crypto onramp

## Funding Methods

### Crypto Onramp (Easiest)

### Buy USDC with a Credit Card

The built-in crypto onramp lets you purchase USDC directly into your wallet using a credit card. No existing crypto needed.

1. **Open your wallet**
   Go to your dashboard and open the **Wallet** tab.

2. **Click Fund Wallet**
   Click the **Fund Wallet** button to open the onramp widget.

3. **Enter amount**
   Choose how much USDC you want to purchase. The widget shows the conversion rate and any fees.

4. **Complete payment**
   Enter your credit card details and confirm. USDC is deposited into your wallet within minutes.

> The crypto onramp is powered by Stripe and supports all major credit and debit cards. Processing typically takes 1-5 minutes.

### Transfer from External Wallet

### Send USDC from Another Wallet

If you already hold USDC, you can transfer it directly to your AgentPMT wallet.

1. **Copy your wallet address**
   Find your wallet address in the **Wallet** tab on your dashboard.

2. **Send USDC on Base**
   From your external wallet (MetaMask, Coinbase, etc.), send USDC to your AgentPMT wallet address. Make sure you're sending on the **Base network**.

3. **Wait for confirmation**
   The transfer typically confirms in under a minute on Base. Your balance updates automatically.

> WARNING: Use the correct network
>
> Always send USDC on the **Base** network. Sending on a different network (Ethereum mainnet, Polygon, etc.) may result in lost funds.

## Supported Tokens and Networks

| Token | Network | Supported |
|-------|---------|-----------|
| USDC | Base | Yes |
| USDC | Base Sepolia (testnet) | Yes (for testing) |
| Other tokens | Any | Not supported |

AgentPMT exclusively uses **USDC** on the **Base** network for on-chain payments.

## Checking Your Balance

Your wallet balance is displayed in the **Wallet** tab on your dashboard. It shows:

- Current USDC balance
- Recent deposits and withdrawals
- Transaction history with links to the block explorer

## Testnet Funds

If you're testing on Base Sepolia (testnet), you can get free test USDC from faucets. This lets you try out wallet features without spending real money.
