Loblaw's ChatGPT Channel Beat Plan

Canada's largest grocer used Q1 2026 results to confirm its ChatGPT grocery integration, live in PC Express, is running ahead of internal forecasts only three months in. Per Bank, Loblaw's executive lead on the integration, said adoption is "already ahead of plan." Online sales rose 20.3% year-over-year for the quarter, with conversational discovery cited as a meaningful driver. A 2.0 release is in development.

Chipotle's May 5 campaign delivered the chain's second-highest sales day overall and an all-time-record catering day. The mechanism the company credited was AI discovery: Chipotle ranked first for Cinco de Mayo food queries on Google AI Search, ChatGPT, and Claude. Yimutian Launches an Agricultural Sales Agent

Nasdaq-listed Yimutian, China's largest agricultural-internet company, launched Wolaicai Sales Assistant on May 7 — an AI agent built for the in-person produce trade, where buyers source watermelon, apples, or seasonal produce from regional growers through multi-round conversations. The company projects more than $10 million in full-year revenue uplift from the product line. CFO Shijie Chen said agricultural users' acceptance of AI tools "has far exceeded our expectations," echoing Loblaw's framing in a different category and geography.

Microsoft Agent 365 GA — The Governance Piece

Microsoft Agent 365, the enterprise governance product for AI agents, became generally available May 1 at $15 per user per month. IT teams now get visibility, governance, and lifecycle management across every AI agent in the enterprise, including local agents like GitHub Copilot CLI and Claude Code. Until May 1, every AI seller deployment required its own bespoke security review; after, the agent registers in Agent 365 under an existing policy set and skips the custom process.
